This is its most core advantage. Different from soft-sealed butterfly valves (which rely on elastic materials like rubber), the hard-sealing pair (usually metal-to-metal, e.g., stainless steel + cemented carbide, or metal-to-high-strength non-metal, e.g., metal + silicon nitride) has the following features:

 

1. Tight Sealing with Extremely Low Leakage: The hard-sealed surface undergoes precision processing (such as grinding and surfacing hardening), resulting in high flatness and fit. It can achieve the sealing standard of ANSI Class VI . Even in scenarios involving high pressure (up to 42MPa) and low-viscosity fluids (e.g., gas, light oil), it can effectively prevent "internal leakage", meeting the high sealing accuracy requirements of chemical, gas, and other industries.
2. Wear Resistance & Long Service Life: The metal-sealed surface has high hardness (e.g., the hardness of cemented carbide can reach above HRC60) and strong erosion resistance. When dealing with fluids containing tiny particles (e.g., mineral slurry, boiler flue gas desulfurization slurry), it is not easily worn or scratched. The service life of the sealing pair is 3-5 times that of soft-sealed ones, reducing the frequency of valve replacement and lowering long-term operation and maintenance costs.
